A celebration of togetherness, fellowship, gratitude, and faith that brings the people of Barangay Apas, from many different walks of life, into one shared celebration.
Derived from "mag-tapok," to come together, Panagtapok gathers the people of Apas as one community, with devotion to St. Jude Thaddeus at its heart.
The four clusters come together for a spectacular presentation of the livelihoods, identities, stories, and spirit of Barangay Apas through choreography, music, costumes, and festival-inspired performances.
Each of the four clusters sends one Hara and one Bagani to represent its community, symbolizing the different identities that come together to form the larger Apas community. This year's theme: Hotelista.
Each cluster presents its own interpretation of what it means to be part of the Apasanon community, celebrating the many livelihoods and stories of Apas.
Proudly partnered with Cebu I.T. Park and Uratex — pillars of the local community whose support makes this celebration possible year after year.
The official celebration and culmination of the festival: a grand evening of faith, fellowship, representation, and community celebration.
All four clusters are invited to officially register their participants for the 2026 Grand Ritual Showdown. Deadline is September 30, 2026.
Each cluster is called to nominate their Hara and Bagani representatives. Nominations close on September 15, 2026.

A Community United by Faith, Livelihood, and Fellowship
Panagtapok Festival sa Apas was born from a simple yet meaningful idea: to come together, or "mag-tapok," despite the many differences that define the people of Barangay Apas. Apas is home to people whose daily lives and livelihoods take them into very different fields. Among them are hotel and hospitality workers, members of the police and armed forces, farmers, airport personnel, business workers, professionals, and many others whose occupations contribute to the life and development of the community.
These differences in livelihood are part of what makes Apas a distinct and diverse community. Yet beyond their occupations, social roles, and daily responsibilities, the people of Apas share a common home and a common desire to gather as one community.
Panagtapok was therefore envisioned as a celebration of togetherness, fellowship, gratitude, and faith, bringing people from different walks of life into one shared celebration. At the heart of the festival is the devotion to St. Jude Thaddeus, whose presence gives spiritual meaning to the gathering.
The festival celebrates the idea that while people may work in different places, serve in different professions, and live different daily lives, they can still come together as one Apas community. Panagtapok is a celebration of the people of Apas, their livelihoods, their stories, their faith, and their shared identity.
This October 25, 2026, the spirit of faith, unity, and devotion comes alive at Cebu IT Park as four dynamic clusters come together for Panagtapok Festival sa Apas 2026.

Four clusters. Four expressions of faith. One powerful celebration of love, hope, and devotion. As they take the stage, each group will carry with them the prayers, stories, and unwavering faith of the community.
"Dili lang kini kompetisyon. Kini usa ka pagpamatuod sa atong pagtuo."
Who will rise and shine? Who will captivate the crowd? And who will offer the most inspiring expression of devotion?

The Official Celebration of the Panagtapok Festival
October 25, 2026 marks the official celebration and culmination of the Panagtapok Festival sa Apas, bringing together the people of Barangay Apas for a grand evening of faith, fellowship, representation, and community celebration.
The culminating celebration will highlight the two major features of Panagtapok: Hara ug Bagani and the Grand Ritual Showdown.
The Hara ug Bagani will officially present the King and Queen representatives of the four clusters, with each cluster sending one Hara and one Bagani to represent its community. Their presence will symbolize the different identities and communities that come together to form the larger Apas community.
The Grand Ritual Showdown will bring the four clusters together for a spectacular presentation of the livelihoods, identities, stories, and spirit of Barangay Apas. Through choreography, music, costumes, livelihood figures, and festival-inspired performances, each cluster will present its own interpretation of what it means to be part of the Apasanon community.
This year, the spotlight shines on the Hotelista, a celebration of the people who bring warmth, service, excellence, and Filipino hospitality to life. Inspired by the vibrant world of hotels and tourism, this year's Hara ug Bagani honors the dedication, grace, resilience, and passion of those who make every guest feel welcomed and every experience memorable.
It is a tribute to the hardworking, resilient, and service-driven people who help keep Barangay Apas moving, inspired by the many residents whose lives are shaped by hospitality, service, duty, and sacrifice. The theme honors those who serve others while carrying their own dreams and struggles. Hotelista embodies the spirit of Apas: different paths, one community, united by perseverance, faith, and the courage to keep moving forward.
Experience a night of elegance, culture, talent, and community pride as we crown this year's Hara ug Bagani!
Who will rise with grace? Who will lead with strength? Who will wear the crown?
In partnership with Cebu IT Park and Uratex Philippines. #HaraUgBagani2026
The evening will ultimately bring together the different people and livelihoods that inspired the creation of Panagtapok. Hotelistas, policemen, members of the armed forces, farmers, airport personnel, and people from other walks of life may have different responsibilities and different daily experiences, but on this occasion, they gather under one community and one celebration.
October 25 is therefore more than the final day of the festival. It is the moment when the meaning of "Panagtapok" comes to life: people from different walks of life coming together as one Apas community, in honor of St. Jude Thaddeus.
Different Livelihoods. Different Stories. One Community. One Faith. One Devotion.
